Íñigo López de Mendoza y de la Vega, más conocido como el marqués de Santillana (Carrión de los Condes, 19 de agosto de 1398-Guadalajara, 25 de marzo de 1458), fue el I marqués de Santillana, I conde del Real de Manzanares, XI señor de Mendoza, III señor de Hita y III señor de Buitrago, que además fue un militar y poeta español del Prerrenacimiento, tío del también poeta Gómez Manrique y emparentado también con los poetas Jorge Manrique y, ya en el siglo XVI, con Garcilaso de la Vega.
